It allows built-up gases to escape while fresh air moves through the filtered membrane, helping maintain a more suitable environment for colonising mycelium. Able to withstand temperatures 121-125°C, 15psi.

HOW TO USE
Install the breathable port securely into a correctly sized opening in your jar lid or compatible culture vessel. Ensure the fitting sits firmly and forms a secure seal before sterilisation or inoculation.

Use a separate self-healing injection port when needle access is required. The breathable port is designed for gas exchange and should not be used as an injection point.

IMPORTANT
Always confirm that the port is compatible with your chosen sterilisation method, container and operating temperature. Inspect the filter and seal before every use. Replace the port if it becomes damaged, loose, wet internally or visibly contaminated.
